Who we are:

We are the Oklahoma Association of Extension 4-H Agents, a professional association of 4-H Youth Development professionals, employed by the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service.

Our mission is to deliver 4-H Youth Development Education programs to Oklahoma’s youth and their families.  We strive to create opportunities and supportive environments for culturally diverse youth and adults to be capable, competent and caring citizens.

What we are about:

As a professional association, our purpose is to advance the professional status of Extension 4-H Youth Development professionals encouraging professional improvement among all Extension 4-H and other Youth Development personnel.

How is our mission accomplished?

• We offer over 150 workshops at our conference that focus on professional improvement, enabling our membership to effectively and efficiently deliver the 4-H Youth Development program in their local communities.
• We promote the Extension 4-H Youth Development work as a career and provide guidance on positive youth development.
• We train other youth development workers on the concepts of positive youth development.  We take the knowledge gained at our conferences back to our communities and provide support to teachers, faith based organizations, and other youth serving organizations and agencies.
• We educate 4-H Youth Development professions to educate adult and youth volunteers!
• We develop life skills in others while developing the same in ourselves.

What is OAE4-HA doing?

In 2004 our state association, OA4-HA will host the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents, national professional development conference.  The meeting will take place in Oklahoma City, October 31-November 4, 2004.

You want to be attached to a first-class youth development organization.  The 4-H program is widely recognized as being the top youth education organization in the world and has a proven track record of affecting positive change in issues affecting our youth.
